Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before reserving a session with Down-Range Training Academy LLC ("DTA," "we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a reservation request or attending a training session, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

DTA provides private personal protection instruction for civilians, including safe firearms handling, pistol fundamentals, and related curriculum. Sessions are conducted at a certified indoor range facility in Kennesaw, Georgia.

2. Independence Disclaimer

Down-Range Training Academy LLC is an independent personal protection instruction provider and is not owned by, operated by, sponsored by, endorsed by, or legally affiliated with Governors Gun Club. Governor's Gun Club serves solely as the host range facility.

3. Eligibility

To participate in DTA training sessions, you must:

  • Present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of your session
  • Not be prohibited by law from possessing or handling a firearm
  • Complete the host range facility's waiver in person on the day of your session

Minors are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the full duration of the session.

By submitting a reservation, you certify that you meet these requirements.

4. Reservations

Session reservations submitted through this website are requests only and are not confirmed until DTA contacts you directly. DTA reserves the right to decline any reservation request at its sole discretion.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your scheduled session will be honored without penalty.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled session will forfeit the session fee.
  • No-shows forfeit the full session fee. No exceptions.
  • Late arrivals more than 15 minutes past session start time will receive a shortened session with no rate adjustment.
  • If the host range facility is unavailable due to weather, closure, or circumstances beyond our control, your session will be rescheduled at no charge.

6. Assumption of Risk

Firearms instruction involves inherent risks. By attending a DTA session, you acknowledge that:

  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with firearms handling and range activities
  • You agree to follow all instructor directions, range safety rules, and host facility policies at all times
  • DTA and its instructors are not liable for injuries resulting from your failure to follow safety instructions

A separate waiver covering range activities will be signed in person at the host facility prior to your first session.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants must maintain a safe, respectful environment at all times. DTA reserves the right to terminate any session immediately and without refund if a participant:

  • Fails to follow safety instructions
  • Handles a firearm in an unsafe manner
  • Behaves in a threatening, discriminatory, or disruptive manner

8. Intellectual Property

All training materials, curricula, and content provided by DTA are proprietary and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without express written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DTA's liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific session giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cobb County, Georgia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
